Plasto Polymers (Thailand) as a natural extension of our core plastic recycling business have diversified into lead acid battery scrap trading with our extensive partner network throughout S.E. Asia.

The life cycle of a Lead-Acid Battery follows a continuous, closed loop. The typical new Lead-Acid Battery is made with 60-80 percent recycled Lead and plastic. When a spent battery is collected and reaches a permitted recycler, it’s Lead and plastic are reclaimed and directed to new battery manufacturing.

Battery Scrap (ISRI CODE RAINS) We at Plasto Polymers (Thailand) source Battery Scrap supplied under ISRI CODE RAINS. Batteries contain a range of metals which can be reused as a secondary raw material. We recover the Lead by separating the different materials that make up the battery (Lead, plastics, acid etc.) prior to metallurgical processing.

Battery Plates Scrap (ISRI CODE RAILS) The Battery Plates Scrap (ISRI CODE RAILS) consists of the metallic grids of automotive, industrial and other type of Lead Acid Batteries. These metallic grids are with plastic or rubber separators and Lead Paste attached to them. In specific cases these grids can be supplied without separators also.
